You have reached your destination

10th December, 2011(9:17am Korean time)

Hey everyone!
Guess where I am??
You got it!!
I'm in South Korea.. :)

But first off, Sorry Joanna. I tried to comment but I can on my iPod touch. I'm glad your okay :) you should do I.T next year.

Okay, I arrived in Incheon yesterday at like 1pm( the afternoon). We had delicious street food. Called 'dokbokghi' it's this spicy rice cake. It's really yummy. And it was freezing, there was even snow. It was -6 degrees but it didn't look like snow, just like small fluffs falling down. Oh man, the traffic is unbelievable.. Not the traffic jam but people drive like crazy. Especially my uncle?? No.. My aunties husband. He is so nice :) and he's a music teacher. Perhaps I can convince him to teach me. Yeah, when he drives it awesome. It feels like a police car is chasing us and we're fugitives or something.

Then we met my grandma( mums mum). I got acupuncture :(
It didn't hurt. Just stings a little. I had two on my feet and two on my leg. Today I have to get medicine called 'hanyuk' it's this herb thing. And smells horrible ad ewe.. Bad memories.

I met all the family on my mums side yesterday except one person because he's in the army (it's like conscription.. If your a male in your 20's you serve in the army for 2 years or go to jail). They are so nice. We didn't bring much luggage and they gave us clothes, food and money. It was my mums b'day(in the Chinese calendar) three days ago. So we had traditional food you have to eat on Ur b'day like 'miyukgook' its seaweed soup. I know it sounds unpleasant but it is yummy and 'mandugok' which is dim sim soup.

Man, everyone looks the same except a little older. My cousin changed from cute to cool. He's still my little Eric :)

Today, I am going to my grandpas office to eat lunch then travel to 'soowon' no idea where that is to see yiruma live in action. Apparently, we got the cheap seat at the back but no worries. I'm bringing my camera.

The only thing I hate about my grandmas house is that they don't have a shower. Its just bucket, and tap. So, we went to my aunties house to shower. Oh, and korea you can't put paper and flush it down. You put it in a bin. Sounds gross right, and it's very annoying. Korea has the best heating system in the house. The floors are heated :) and there are electric blankets too. Well, adios for now. My mum is nagging me to try on the clothes we got yesterday.

Cheers,

Sharna

Btw; did u guys get Ur sc? My dad got it for me and I passed everything!! He sent me pics.
I got a band 5 for English :)

  1. Ooooh trust me, seeing a good pianist live does wonders for your motivation, regardless of how crappy the seat is. Now you know how I felt when I went to China last year. Going back to your roots is an amazing experience, isn't it? CONGRATS on your English! You could totally do Advanced. High five, fellow English-as-a-second-language speaker. We got good in the one exam this year that actually determined our true abilities. (Being an anonymous paper marked by an anonymous marker).

I'm not sure if I should be concerned for you...getting acupuncture and drinking herbal medicine sounds a bit like you're absorbing too much culture there!
