Racism on Australia Day?!

What's it for?
A day to celebrate the birth of Australia peacefully with everyone.. <--- i think..?
What's it really for?
- Getting drunk
- Spending the day at the beach tanning
- Out for a big BBQ (or barbie.. haha)
- Have FUN :D
I mean, it's alright. A public holiday is good right?

Hahaha, I totally forgot why I started writing this blog post. Okay I remember. Lately, there's been lots of advertisements on the television and emails about sales going up for australia day. Something about buying 'Volleys' special edition for $50? and receiving points in your shopping card. I mean, it's a heck of a deal. But on the other hand, I'm not 100% sure but the Aboriginals have set up the tent embassy near the old parliament house. And Julliard Gulliard or Tony Abbott.. who ever.. said something very racist.

Don't get me wrong. Australia's a good country. A few racist people here and there. But I'm blessed with just a few swear words.. Maybe coz I don't go out much.. :P hehe..

People out there... don't stereotype! It's not cool. How would you like it if I started swearing in your face about rumors that isn't even true. Plus, I am not Chinese.. I am from Korea!! SOUTH KOREA!
Hahaha, I found some funny stereotypes about Koreans:
- Is REALLY smart! (Education is important.. but i'm not smart.. sad fact)
- Eats Kimchi 24/7 (Lol, hahaha... no)
- Eats dogs (a lot of people oppose to it.. like me. and it's not a normal dog. it's one of those dogs that are stray and breed for eating.. kinda like cows or pigs. but A LOT of the people have never eaten a dog.. many restaurants are closing down now coz not much people eat them)
- Your short (no.. most people are actually getting tall right now. im short though.. 5 ft 3)
- Terrible drivers (no.. they're actually really good. it's just A FEW people can't wait in traffic. and there are so many people its crowded.. plus getting a license in Korea is not as strict as it is in Australia. but it is pretty hard)
- Korean guys strive to look more feminine (LOL!! no.. just becoz some guys look a bit feminine doesn't mean they look like a girl 24/7.)
Okay, maybe this isn't working out very well. You have to live in Korea for at least 2 months to actually fully understand. Well, I'm tired. Have to try and wake up at 6 am tomorrow as a practice run for school. Off to sleep.

Sienna and my little adventure in Strathfield + Hongdae :)

Well, we had a change of plans last night. Instead of going to the movies to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 we went to a korean resterant in Strathfield. Man, it reminded me of the good times in Korea. We ate this delicious meal. It's spicy, meat, soup thing. I dont know. Very affordable and very delicious.
Then we went to a little cafe called 'Hello Happy'. Okay, don't be fooled by the name like I was. It's very cute :3 The best part of going to a Korean resterant or a cafe are the designs. The walls are painted, decorations are up. It gives a fantasy feeling to it... well for me it does.
This is only an amateur to the ones in Korea. But it's really cool. Go check it out.
Hehehe... While I was in Hongdae.. lost walking through random places. I found a 'Hello Kitty Cafe'! Yes! I used to watch 'simonandmartina' on youtube with their little adventures in Seoul. And I was like.. 'OH MY @#$@@$#!!'. Okay, I wasn't that excited. But I did stop for a small visit to take pictures. :)
There were hello kitty shaped walls cut out too. You can sit there and drink coffee and stare at other people. But many people were there and I didn't want them to think I was a stalker taking their pictures or something. I haven't seen that much pink in my lifetime. But it was really cute. And definitely worth going again :)

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

Hey guys!
I'm not exactly sure when Chinese new year is.. Today or tomorrow. Give or take. But anyway just wanted to wish you guys good health and good luck in the future? Im not sure what you have to say.. Yeah.
Anyways, back to my normal blogs. I watched 'Johnny English' yesterday with the mr bean guy in it. It was hilarious. You guys should watch it. It does look very fake and all but it's pretty funny. Kind of like the plot from get smart.
And I received a free fan! Yes!
I just hope it won't blow hot air around the room. Speaking of room. My room is cramped full of stuff. Have to do my new years clean up.
Well, tomorrow I am off to the market to buy myself some school supplies. And at 7:30pm Sienna and I are going to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 3! :)
Can't wait?!! Hehe I love Theodore. He's so cute. I'll review it tomorrow. So stay tuned for more updates.

CHINATOWN + BONDI

Did someone say "Oh YES!!".
Yup, I did.
Today was one of the best days of 2012. In the morning, I received my books! Finally, it took about 2 weeks.
And then we left for the city with my parents and Sienna to meet Ray(singer+ songwriter). My mum and I left them to do their business and off we went to Chinatown.
I normally don't spend my money like this. It was just one of those times when you couldn't help it. I bought headphones!!! The brand is Zumreed from Japan. I saw it on the Internet last night a similar one this girl was wearing in CN Blue's 'Love Girl' music video. It's $50. But I got mine for $25. Oh yeah :)
Plus, I've been wanting a 'touch pen' ever since I saw my friend Yazi use it in Korea. It was suppose to be $12 but she cut it down to $7. So in total we paid $32. Pretty good for my first deal right?
The touch pen can hang onto the part where your earphones go in so you don't lost them. And this one is glittery gold.. thing.. It comes out too making it 2 cm longer. Cool right? Hehe.. my old ipod touch in the photo.
Then we looked around. And went to the $1 bookstore. It was having a 20% sale on everything. I bought a book for $2.35. It's called 'My name is Memory' by Ann Brashares. I have no idea what it's about but I'm guessing it's mystery and sci-fi.
Then we went to bondi junction. UP to Harvey Norman and bought an electric toothbrush that was on sale for $29 (it was in my christmas wishlist... finally my christmas present!!).
So here I am now in Sophia's house using my touch pen to write this. Had a very delicious lunch/dinner. She makes the best Ceasar Salad.
It is now 9:44pm just arrived home. Updating blog. Now it's 10:00pm. The photos uploaded quicker than I thought :)

The ants are marching one by one! Tadaa Tadaa~

It's the 17th already!!
Getting old day by day.
Well, nothing too exciting happened today but to me and my dad it was hiliarious :)
Since we moved in like a few months ago. In my parents bedroom it is crawling with ants. Like literally everywhere. One time we stored our chips (sealed in and all) and ants were in it. So sad.. :(
My cheeseballs.. R.I.P
Today this pest control guy... or the bug man came. And added these tube things there. 2 in the bedroom, 2 in the kitchen, 1 outside in the veranda. He said it was this sugar thing and they go crazy for it. Man, was he right. After he left, and I took a shower. I checked on it. The ants were mad! So many.
Ohh, its 11:11! Make a wish :)

A long and slow journey to boredom town

I hope your enjoying your holidays
Well, I am stuck at home dying of boredom. Most of my friends are on holiday overseas. And most of my friends are at work or have plans with their families. So, I guess I'm a loner.
But for the past few weeks since I came back from Korea. (sorry, havent uploaded all my photos). I've been spending time with my mums friends. I know, how lame. But I am literally that bored.
But luckily my mum friends aren't that old. We've been going to Sophia's house practically every second day. She has three children. They are so cute. Especially the youngest child her name is Amadea. I dunno how old she is, but she's a baby. Since she can't say sharna she keeps calling me "sha" "sha" and wanting a hug. It's really cute.
And the other day I went with Sienna(21yrs old) who was my mums friend, and my mum to the apple store, Harvey Norman, dick smith and all those techie stores looking at MacBook pros since she wants to buy one. Man, it was tiring.
Well today she is going sky diving with her church friends. So lucky. It sounds fun but I think I will die. Good luck Sienna!
Yeah! Hey today 'darkest hour' came out in cinemas. Im gonna see that or Alvin and the chipmunks on tuesday with Sienna. If anyone wants to join. Just give me a call.
Oh!! I can't wait till Saturday! I get to go to church! It's not those boring masses you go on Sundays though. Check it out. It starts at 6pm every Saturday(that's when I work). Come to Waterloo, young st. A big building called Hillsong. Follow the kids upstairs and you'll see me :)
I think I've been working there for about 6 or 7 years. Wow, that's a lot.
Oh, remember I told you my mum and I went to Sophia's house yesterday. Guess what I made? Ppupge or dalgona (thats how I pronounce it). It's just sugar and baking powder? No it's. I dunno what it's called in english. Yeah, when I was a little kid I always used to look at it. Sounds weird ey? But it was fascinating.
It was on the streets. A grandpa was making these in the winter. And just patiently waiting and you have to eat out the shapes and if didn't break. You would get another one for free. It was really fun. Well, here's what it turned out.
It's really hard to make.
Oh! I think I want to start being creative again. I know Im horrible at that. But practice makes perfect right? I was scrolling through YouTube this morning. And I found a video of 'bubzbeauty' painting this beautiful sunset/ trees/ fog thing. And I really want to try it. It looks really difficult. I have a $2 paint set I bought from Asian store. Oh, and 'tomgognonstudio' or something like that can't remember he painted a similar one too. I'm going to try and learn from him. Wow, long blog post.

Heartless Neighbours

Well, today was one of the days that I definitely had to note for future purposes. As most of you know, I'm living with another family of 3. Similar to us they only have one child. A guy.
A few weeks ago the cousin came. Hae Mi they call her. Just like the main character in this drama I'm watching right now. Weird ey?
Well, a few minutes ago my dog ran away. Since everyone was off in their little world she slipped out of sight for a bit. I mean, me and my dad were running our butts everywhere looking for her. The cousin and the boy were just having a chat eating noodles like nothing was wrong. I mean, they could've at least help us. At least offered. But Noo... They just sat on their fat asses talking about some random shit.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not normally like this. Just freaking pissed off. We help them so much yet they don't even offer to help. They use all our stuff but hate it when we borrow theirs. Its not just that. Theres more ... Fucking selfish neighbors we have.
In the end we found her. And the boy was like 'you found it?'. Yes, There are bloody heartless people out there.
Anyways, we're moving soon.
If we find a place.
Somewhere far away from them.
Hopefully.
