Books, Chips and Church

25th February, 2012 (2:35pm)

Hey Everyone!

I've been pretty lazy lately that I haven't been able to read a decent book. But this week I decided to ditch my plans and actually try and improve my vocabulary since my English teacher lectures us pretty much every lesson that we need to learn proper English words in order to get good marks in our HSC.

So, on Friday after school I went to the Bondi library. Remember a few months ago when I came back from Korea I raved on about a book called 'the truth about forever' by Sarah Dessen. Well, since the library sucks and doesn't have the books I wanted to read. A grabbed a couple of books by Sarah Dessen. One's called 'along for the ride' which I have just finished. And another called 'dreamland' reading right now.

As many of you know I'm a bookworm. And when I like a book I rave on about it. Hahaha, sorry it's just coz I'm bored. Right now I'm somewhere in North Sydney in the back seat of my car under a tree (Thank God). According to my highly intellectual skills of judging the temperature it's about 26 degrees. Give or take.

Anyways, back to the book. Let me give you an insight of it.

Title: Along for the ride
Author: Sarah Dessen

It's about an 18 year old girl spending her summer with her ex father, wife and their baby. But she's not just an ordinary girl. She pretty much spends all the time studying and focusing on academics to please her demanding mother.

She lives in a tiny beach town called Colby... And she meets this guy called Eli who was a former star on the bike circuit. And together they go on and about in Colby on the quest for Auden(the girl) to experience the carefree teenage life she's been denied.

But there's some twists.

You have to read the book to find out.

Here's a quote from the blurb:

"you know, if you don't know how to ride a bike, it's nothing to be ashamed of" Eli said.

"I can ride a bike", I said. "I just ... I haven't had the opportunity in a while".

Okay, just arrive at Edgecliff off to buy food in ALDI. They have the best gummy bears. BACK!! Have you tried the $3 chips in the top floor fish shop near Coles? Their chips is great! Just had some. Off to church.

Okay, I'm back. Tired as hell. The kids wanted me to play tips with them. Man, got carpet burn. Those kids are fast or I'm just getting old. It's currently 7:11pm and we're in the car going home (me and dad). Will probably arrive there at around 8:40pm. I hope Sam is doing okay.

Wow, it's 8:15pm and I'm at home. The traffic was so good to us today. I'm on my couch watching some disney movie with the mummy returns guy and the journey to the centre of the earth boy.
